Mel Lewis - The History of Jazz Drums - The Complete Archive

In 1989, Mel Lewis was invited by Loren Schoenberg of WKCR radio in New York City, to do a series of radio interviews discussing his knowledge of historically significant jazz drummers.

For  20 years, the audio was available to only a select number of drummers, existing only in cassette format . . . now it's available HERE...

(or it will be... check back soon for links to You Tube videos of the recording... )

I recommend this for any drummer who wants to have a better understanding of the development of modern drumming.
